Mr. Santiago began his career as a sanitation supervisor and manager in the dairy and food manufacturing industry in New Jersey, responsible for over 300 employees.
While managing a facility in Bal Harbor, he met Henry DeLeon. Mr. DeLeon recognized the talent and drive Mr. Santiago possessed and offered him a job as a property supervisor. Angelo was soon promoted to Area Manager then Corporate Director of Operations with responsibility for the training and orientation of The Service Companies supervisory staff nationwide.
Laurie Katinos joined The Service Companies in January 2009 as Corporate Director of Operations with a concentration in the Housekeeping areas. Prior to joining TSC, Mrs. Katinos was with Global Hyatt Corporation's headquarters as a Corporate Rooms Manager overseeing all domestic properties. In prior years she has served as a senior manager at various locations ranging from luxury resorts, urban and convention properties.
Kurt Wong started in the hospitality business with Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1988 as the Director of Food & Beverage for the Hilton in Reno, NV. This was a 2,000 room resort, containing 200,000 sq. ft. of convention space. In 2004, he joined Harrah's as the Director of Food and Beverage, and was quickly promoted to Director of Operations. In that capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of the non-gaming operations for the 1,000 room casino property located in Reno, NV. In 2008, he was promoted to Vice President of Asian Player Development for the Northern Nevada Region based out of San Francisco, CA and Lake Tahoe, NV. Kurt joined The Service Companies in April of 2009 as the Director of Operations, Western Region. In this capacity, he will oversee all operations west of Texas.
Martin Duane began his career with Sonesta Hotels International in 1983. His career has taken him from the East Coast to the West Coast as well as overseas in executive positions from Food and Beverage Director to General Manager with, among others, Hilton, Fairmont, Omni and Marriott Hotels. He has worked in resort hotels as well as casinos. His most recent position was General Manager of The Pegasus Hotel in Georgetown, Guyana, South America.
Martin joined The Service Companies in July of 2009 as the Corporate Director of Operations, Eastern Region. He oversees all operations east of Texas.
Nikki Bernal is a graduate of Miami Dade College with a degree in Business Administration. Having been with The Service Companies for 12 years, Ms. Bernal has acted as the Human Resource Manager since 2003. She is responsible for overseeing the rigorous background and E-Verify process for all employees, as well as managing the training and HR policies for the organization.
Victor Vargas has been with The Service Companies for seven years, and is currently responsible for overseeing a large portion of our client on-site operations. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Vargas acted as a site manager for The Southern Peru Copper Corporation. He holds a degree in Business Administration and a post-graduate degree in Management.
Cristian Longo, a native of Argentina, joined The Service Companies in 2001 as a kitchen cleaner. Over the ensuing seven years, Cristian worked his way from floor maintenance cleaner to supervisor to project manager to his current position, Area Manager of Florida. Cristian holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and contributes to the success of the Service Companies through his experience and dedication to achieving exceptional results. Like his colleagues, Cristian is a Service Companies success story and an example of what hard work and dedication can achieve.
Kimberly Eichelberger started her career in the hospitality industry in 1990. She advanced through four star hotels to five star and five diamond. After Kimberly worked more than 13 years for Marriott Hotels, she went on to successes in exclusive boutique hotels in Old Town -- Washington, DC. As a child she accompanied her parents on diplomatic assignments. For six years she lived in and traveled through several countries in Central America. She is fluent in Spanish.
Gary has worked with The Service Companies for eight years. He has over 35 years of experience in the cleaning industry including owning his own company in Illinois for five years before joining the team in 2001. He is now the area manager for the Gulf Coast region which includes, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida.
Keith joined The Service Companies in July of 2009 as an Area Manager of the Southeast region including the Carolinas, Georgia and Northern Florida. Prior to joining TSC, Keith spent 21 years with Global Hyatt focused on operations. During his time with Hyatt, Keith worked in numerous convention and luxury hotels and held various management positions within the rooms division, most recently as the Executive Assistant Manager at a convention hotel in New York.
